Junior Stags – Winter 2023

Grange Cricket Club is committed to welcoming everyone who wishes to be involved in cricket. We recognise the importance of diversity, inclusion and respect to everyone associated with our Club.

Winter 2023 – info coming soon!!

Cut-off for Junior Age Categories.

For the 2023 season the child’s age as at 01.09.2022 is what determines their age category (U10/U12/U14/U16). Occasionally a child will move ‘up’ an age group based on their development stage. Please register your child for the ‘correct’ age category, and a decision on moving to a different group will be taken by our coaches.

Moving to adult membership – if born on or before 01.04.2007 and therefore will be aged 16 or over on 01.04.2023, your son or daughter will need to join the Senior Club (see Membership). However, they will still qualify to play as a junior if they were aged under 16 on 01.09.22.

Any queries then please contact the Junior Secretary, Abhijit Chakraborty, by emailing juniors@grangecricket.org.

Grange Cricket Club branded clothing.

Close Brothers Asset Management kindly sponsor the Junior Stags and, therefore, we need to show our support by wearing their branded kit.  Certainly their Playing Shirts (Child’s Ivory) should be worn by the children in matches.  Grange CC Junior Stags Branded Kit (Gray-Nicolls) is available from our Webshop.

Helmets and Box: It is essential that all players playing hard ball cricket have their own helmet and a box is worn. Grange recommends a helmet that complies with the latest standards is worn by all our players.

Child Protection Policy and Procedures.

Any concerns or questions on the CP Policy and Procedures to the Child Protection Officer Ramsay Allan (H) 0131 332 5809 or (M) 07973 499 297.

If you wish to help out, whether that is by way of helping with the administration, coaching sessions, umpiring, scoring or organising some of the matches then that would be much appreciated by all. If you can help then please state this in the membership form.
